Accounting Specialist

This role supports an accounting firm by managing bookkeeping and accounting tasks for multiple clients across various industries. It is a client-facing position requiring strong accounting skills, professionalism, and excellent communication to interact directly with clients and maintain accurate financial records. What you will do:
• Manage bookkeeping and accounting tasks for multiple client accounts
• Record and categorize transactions in QuickBooks Online
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, lines of credit, and loans
• Manage accounts payable and receivable
• Prepare invoices and financial reports
• Review financial records for accuracy
• Communicate directly with clients regarding documents, transactions, and discrepancies
• Participate in monthly client meetings to review financial performance
• Help onboard new clients, including setting up customized charts of accounts and entering opening balances
• Stay organized across clients, industries, and deadlines

Key Qualifications
• Accounting or bookkeeping experience, preferably with multiple clients
• Strong hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online
• Good understanding of accounting principles, including GAAP
• Excellent English communication skills
• Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor with clients
• Confident in asking questions and following up
• Patient and comfortable explaining financial information to clients
• Proactive, detail-oriented, organized, and takes ownership of work
• Adaptable to different clients and industries
• Reliable with confidential information
