Job Description
We're a Canadian real-estate developer in Halifax, Nova Scotia, building multi-unit residential projects. We don't self-perform — every trade and supplier is external. Which means our schedule lives or dies on whether materials and people show up when we said they would.

This job is chasing that, and it is more important than it sounds. Done well, procurement create value and it prevents loss. Nothing arrives late, nothing gets ordered twice, no crew stands around waiting for windows. That's the whole win, and right now nobody owns it.

**What you'll own**

- Sending RFQs, chasing quotes, comparing them like for like
- Raising purchase orders and tracking every one from order to delivery
- Knowing the required-on-site date for every long-lead item on every project — and knowing today whether we're going to miss it
- Following up. Then following up again. Then following up a third time
- Keeping the procurement tracker true enough that our PM can plan against it

**Who fits**

You are relentlessly organised. You follow up without being asked twice. When you're not sure of something, you ask someone — you don't guess and you don't quietly make it up. You are comfortable phoning and emailing suppliers who are ignoring you, repeatedly, politely, until they answer.

Construction experience helps and we'll teach what's missing. Purchasing, expediting, logistics or supply-chain background counts. So does being the person in your last job who everyone relied on because you never dropped anything.

**Hours**

Some overlap with Atlantic Canada mornings for supplier calls. We'll agree the exact window with you.

**Pay**

Tell us your number.

**To apply**

Put TRANSOM as the first word of your application. Then:

1. Show us how you tracked something with many moving parts — orders, deliveries, follow-ups. A screenshot or file beats a description.

2. A supplier has ignored three emails over eight days. The material is needed on site in three weeks. What exactly do you do next? Write the message you'd send.

3. Tell us about something that was late and it was your fault. What happened, and what did you change afterwards?
