Inbound Sales & Support Representative
ABOUT US

We are an e-commerce business specializing in hydroponic equipment serving North America. We are a small, dynamic team looking for a long-term partner who will become the primary customer representative of the company.
ABOUT THE ROLE
--------------------
We're hiring a remote dedicated Inbound Sales & Support Representative to own the front line of our customer experience.
As a key member, you'll have the opportunity to work remotely while directly shaping the success of our valued customers.
You'll answer calls, chats, emails, walk customers through our products, and close sales — while qualifying larger commercial leads for handoff to our sales manager.
Hours: 8am to 1pm PST
WHAT YOU'LL DO
--------------------
Answer inbound calls promptly — pick up live calls within a few rings or less.
Resolve routine retail support — shipment tracking, parts questions, order status, and general customer inquiries, start to finish.
Re-engage abandoned-cart shoppers and follow up on stalled quotes through outbound and cold calling.
Walk customers through our product lineup with clarity, confidence, and accurate detail
Work through objections, pricing pushback, and follow-ups without losing momentum, while staying alert to upsell and cross-sell openings.
Qualify incoming commercial inquiries — run a short intake call to understand scope and need, then hand off pre-qualified leads to our sales manager with clear notes.
Own the queue during scheduled leadership absences — during planned coverage windows, you're the single point of contact for all customer communications. High-value orders and urgent escalations get flagged for a same-day leadership review; everything else you handle directly.

Callers consistently reach a real person quickly — no missed calls, no long holds.
Retail issues get resolved on first contact whenever possible.
100% of leads are entered into the CRM, ready and pre-qualified for the sales manager.
Leadership can step away (including multi-day stretches) without customer experience slipping.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
--------------------
Experience in customer support, inside sales, or sales development — retail, e-commerce, or B2B distribution background is a plus.
Clear, confident spoken and written English communication skills, with an outgoing, people-first personality.
Sharp communication paired with genuine listening skills — comfortable being the first voice a customer hears, on the phone and in writing.
Organized and self-directed — you can triage, prioritize, and make good judgment calls without someone looking over your shoulder.
Calm, professional communication style with both everyday retail customers and commercial buyers.
Quick to learn, dependable in execution, and careful with instructions.
BONUS POINTS FOR

Comfortable working daily inside Shopify to track orders, leads, monitor abandoned carts, and flag opportunities.
Familiarity with HubSpot or another CRM platform.
Understanding of AI tools: ChatGPT, Claude AI, etc.
