Manual QA Tester (Finance Web App) - Day Shift

JOB OVERVIEW

Saturation builds the software film and TV productions use to manage their money: budgets, purchase orders, actuals, cards, and accounting. Producers move and track real money in it all day. We are hiring full-time testers to check three things every day: features work, money figures are correct, and screens are clear and look right.

The testing is manual. No coding. We prefer testers with at least a year of manual testing experience. We train you on our product, and you test in our staging environment.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Test each new feature and fix against its ticket in Linear
- Check that amounts, balances, and calculations are correct and match across screens
- Flag anything that looks wrong or is confusing to use
- Regression-test the parts of the app a change could have broken
- Mark each ticket pass or fail, with a screenshot or screen recording
- Report each bug with severity and steps an engineer can follow to reproduce it
- Keep notes on how each part of the app should behave
- Post a daily summary of what passed, what failed, and what is new

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

- You have tested software by hand: test cases, bug reports, re-testing fixes
- You write clear English
- You test the edge cases as well as the usual path
- You notice when a screen looks wrong or a step is confusing, and you can say why

NICE TO HAVE

- Usability or UI testing experience
- Accounting or bookkeeping experience

SCHEDULE

- Tuesday to Saturday, 6am to 3pm Manila time, with a one-hour break. No night shift.
- This matches the US Monday to Friday week. Sundays and Mondays off.
- Your first three to four hours overlap with our engineers on the US West Coast

PAY

- PHP 45,000 to 60,000 a month with a year or more of testing experience
- PHP 35,000 to 45,000 a month with less experience
- Exact figure in your written offer
- 13th month pay
- Philippine regular holidays off with pay
- Independent contractor agreement, paid monthly through Deel
- No time-tracking or screenshot software
- Strong performers considered for QA Lead, at up to PHP 70,000 a month
- Long-term role

WHAT YOU NEED

- A computer with 8 GB of RAM or more, and Chrome
- Internet of 25 Mbps or faster, plus a backup such as mobile data
- A quiet place to work

HOW TO APPLY

2. Record one minute of voice or video about a bug or mistake you caught, and how you found it. No need to show your face. Paste the Loom or Google Drive link.
3. Paste one bug report you have written, with client and product names removed. If you are new to testing, spend 10 minutes writing up a problem in any app: what you did, what happened, and what you expected.

Shortlisted applicants do a paid two-hour trial (PHP 1,500, whether or not we hire you). You test our app and report five bugs. We hire on the quality of those reports.
