SENIOR AP VA (CONTROLLER-LEVEL SCOPE)

Kavod Global Contact Center is looking for a senior-level VA with controller-level AP experience. The primary mandate is to stabilize and clean up the AP ledger, clear existing backlogs, lead a small AP team, and drive process improvements — including supporting automation initiatives in coordination with the Finance team.

Key responsibilities
• Own the Accounts Payable ledger end-to-end, with direct accountability for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
• Coach and support a small AP team, organising workload, setting priorities, and actively working through invoice and payment backlogs
• Ensure goods and cost invoices are processed correctly, with proper PO matching, cost coding, and approval workflows
• Oversee vendor reconciliations and related clearing account reconciliations on a structured close cycle
• Flag recurring errors and process gaps, and work with management to implement practical, lasting fixes
• Support the improvement and automation of repetitive AP tasks — including invoice capture, matching, and payment runs — in coordination with the wider finance team
• Liaise with procurement, operations, and management on purchase-to-pay queries, exceptions, and process gaps
• Support month-end and year-end close, ensuring the AP ledger is clean and all cut-off items are properly handled

What they are looking for
• Solid, demonstrable experience in Accounts Payable, general bookkeeping, and strong reconciliation skills
• Hands-on experience with GL and GR/IR reconciliation processes
• Proficiency in at least one ERP system (e.g. SAP, KING, Business Central, NetSuite, or equivalent)
• Experience working in a multi-entity environment, ideally across jurisdictions
• A practical coaching style — patient, structured, and focused on building capability rather than just correcting mistakes
• Accurate, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking ownership of a ledger

Nice to have
• Exposure to intercompany reconciliations or consolidation environments
• Familiarity with Dutch GAAP or equivalent local statutory reporting standards
