VIRTUAL ASSISTANT — SHOPIFY & PRODUCT DESIGN (E-COMMERCE ORDER SUPPORT) Sports Uniform & Equipment Supplier (Australia)

We're an Australian supplier of sports gear, uniforms and equipment, supplying clubs and businesses nationwide with standard stock and customised products through our Shopify store. We're hiring a long-term, full-time VA to own order processing, product mockups, and Shopify — with real variety, real ownership, and pay that reflects it.
This role also supports a second, related business — printing, embroidery, and customised apparel — launching alongside this hire. Involvement starts light (social media, email & mockups) and grows over time as that business grows. Full detail is covered at interview stage.

The Two Skills This Role Needs

1. Advanced Canva (or Illustrator/Photoshop) — this is the most important skill for this role. You'll create product mockups — logos placed onto uniforms, gear, and apparel — for customer approval before every order goes to production. Precision matters more than artistic flair, but strong, confident design ability is essential, not a bonus: a wrong spelling or placement costs us a customer.
2. Solid Shopify experience. You'll manage live listings, stock levels, and product descriptions. Confidence in the Shopify admin panel is essential from day one. To confirm you've read this far, start your application with the word TIGER.

What You'll Do

• Create product mockups for customer approval — uniforms, gear, and apparel
• Manage Shopify — stock levels, listings, descriptions, pricing
• Handle customer emails, quotes, order confirmations, and delay updates
• Liaise with our production suppliers and track order status through to delivery
• Log every order same day into our shared tracking system
• Post 5–7x/week to Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest using content & instructions we will give you
• Send a short end-of-day summary; assist with occasional projects (price lists, product copy, product descriptions, keyword search)

Also Looking For
Excellent written English, comfort with Excel/Google Sheets, high attention to detail, and the ability to flag problems proactively rather than waiting to be asked. Trello experience is a plus. Background in embroidery, printing, apparel, or sports equipment is a genuine advantage.

Hours & Pay
Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm Philippine time (10:00am–7:00pm AEST) — fixed hours, real-time customer communication required.

Pay increases are performance-based, not automatic with time — tied to clear, demonstrated milestones. Full criteria shared at offer stage. Fixed in PHP (not affected by exchange rate movements). Above the typical VA rate — we want this to be a long-term role, not a stepping stone.
