The Position:
Love Poets is an award-winning wedding film studio with a strong reputation and a distinctive creative voice. We create films that couples treasure for a lifetime — story-driven, emotionally intelligent films that don't just document a wedding, they capture how it felt to be there.

We're looking for a wedding film editor who can work to that standard. Not someone who edits mechanically. Someone who genuinely loves the craft, understands emotional storytelling, and takes personal pride in every film they deliver.

We have a clear brand, a detailed editing bible, and a structured workflow. Within that, we need someone with real creative instinct — someone who watches a cut back and asks "does this actually feel like something?" before they submit it.

Our Style:
Our films are story-driven. We lean into the emotions of the day — the tears, the laughter, and everything in between. Vows, speeches, and candid moments aren't just filler — they're how we tell the couple's story.

Structurally, we work across a range of feels. Some films open with energy, pull back into something slower and more intimate in the middle, then lift again at the end. Others build slowly and finish on a high. We're also known in our region for crafting upbeat wedding films exceptionally well — with some couples coming to us specifically for that. The right candidate needs to be strong at both ends of that spectrum and everything in between.

What You'll Be Doing:
Each week you'll receive a detailed editing brief that includes:
- The complete footage from the wedding
- Music selections and song order
- Notes on the overall feel — the vibe, the energy, whether the couple wants lots or little dialogue
- Any specific client requests and must-include moments
- A clear list of your deliverables for that week

Your deliverables will vary week to week and may include:
- Highlight films at varying lengths — 2-3 minutes, 3-4 minutes, or 5-6 minutes
- Multi-angle ceremony recordings
- Multi-angle speeches recordings
- Teaser films
- Raw footage chapters

All communication is handled through our production coordinator and company director — you won't need to liaise with clients directly.

What We're Looking For:
- A genuine feel for emotional storytelling — you understand pacing, tension, release, and the moments that make people feel something
- Strong technical proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro — you work quickly, cleanly, and your project files are organised
- The ability to follow a detailed brief precisely while still bringing creative instinct to every cut
- Confidence editing across different styles — slow and emotional, upbeat and energetic, and the blend of both
- A high personal standard — you watch your cuts back and you're honest with yourself about whether they're good enough
- Ability to work independently and manage your own time without being chased
- Genuine care for the craft — this is a role for someone who loves making wedding films, not just someone who edits video

Essential Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience editing wedding films specifically — please include examples in your application
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro
- Availability to work with a minimum of 6 hours overlap with Australian Eastern Time (AEST/AEDT)
- Reliable high-speed internet connection suitable for downloading proxy files
- A computer capable of running editing workflows efficiently

Working Hours & Time Zone Overlap:
This role requires at least 6 hours of overlap with Australian Eastern Time (AEST/AEDT) standard work hours each weekday for team communication and project coordination. Remaining hours can be worked outside of Australian Eastern Time work hours.

Employment & Compensation:
This role is offered as full legal employment through an employer of record — not a freelance or contractor arrangement. You will be a registered employee with full statutory benefits including SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG and 13th month pay, fully compliant with Philippine labour law. The salary listed is your base monthly salary on top of these benefits.
