YouTube Video Editor – Long-Form / Evergreen Channels

We are looking for a reliable and proactive long-form YouTube Video Editor to join our team and work on faceless YouTube channels focused on evergreen, news-based and documentary-style content.

This is not a freelance position for someone looking to edit occasionally. We are looking for someone who can consistently dedicate approximately 35 hours per week to the project.

Please do not apply if you cannot commit to this workload and delivery schedule.

Workload

The expected output is:

6 long-form videos per week
Approximately 1 video per day
1 day per week with no upload
Approximately 36 hours per week
Around 6 hours of work per day

For this particular editing style, producing one video per day is realistic. Competitors in the niche work at a similar publishing frequency, and I have personally produced this volume in the past.

Daily Schedule

You will normally receive the script, voice-over and instructions the previous day, usually by around:

18:00 Spain time / 00:00 Philippine time.

The finished video must normally be delivered by:

18:00 Philippine time / 12:00 Spain time.

Our normal publishing window is approximately 15:00–16:00 Spain time, so this gives us enough time to review the video before publication.

Reliability with deadlines is extremely important for this position.

IMPORTANT – Automated Video Generation Is Strictly Prohibited

Please read this carefully before applying.

Using AI tools to assist your workflow is allowed and encouraged.

However, using automated video-generation workflows is strictly prohibited.

You may not take the script and upload it into tools such as Auraclipy or similar platforms that automatically generate the video, select stock footage, connect through APIs to Pixabay, Pexels or other stock libraries, and then simply correct the generated result afterward.

We have had bad experiences with this in the past, so there will be zero tolerance regarding this rule.

Footage and visual assets must be selected intentionally according to what is being explained in the script.

Using Pixabay, Pexels or other libraries manually is completely fine. What is prohibited is automating the editing and footage-selection process.

If we discover that automated video-generation software has been used during the test, the test will be rejected, payment for the test will not be issued, and the collaboration will be permanently cancelled.

What We Expect

You should be able to:

Edit engaging long-form YouTube videos.
Understand the script before editing.
Find relevant B-roll, images and footage yourself.
Maintain good pacing and frequent visual changes.
Understand viewer retention.
Use CapCut, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or similar software.
Use AI tools intelligently without automating the entire editing process.
Follow references and established channel styles.
Work independently.
Meet daily deadlines consistently.
Communicate clearly.
Suggest improvements instead of simply waiting for instructions.

Paid Test & Salary

Before starting the collaboration, there will be one paid test video.

Payment for the test video: $20.

The purpose of the test is to evaluate editing quality, pacing, footage selection, understanding of the script and ability to follow the required style.

If the test is successful, we will move into a 2-week trial period.

During those two weeks, you will be paid weekly at the normal salary rate.

Base salary:

$400/month

Paid as:

$100/week

After the trial period, the intention is to continue working together long-term.

There will also be performance-based bonuses once the channel has enough data.

The main bonus system will be based on audience retention. Because the channel is new, we first need to establish a normal retention baseline before setting specific targets.

Once we have enough data, clear and measurable retention targets will be established so strong editing performance can be rewarded fairly.
