Insurance Coordinator

About the Role
Peak Mental Healthcare is looking for an Insurance Coordinator to assist with insurance verification and revenue cycle tasks. This role will help keep patient insurance information accurate and up to date, while also supporting claims, invoices, billing, and account follow-up. We’re looking for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and dependable.

Responsibilities
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits
- Review copays, deductibles, coinsurance, coverage, and authorization requirements
- Document insurance information accurately in the EHR
- Communicate with patients and insurance companies regarding insurance and claims
- Assist with claims, invoices, billing, and account follow-up
- Help resolve insurance or billing-related issues
- Keep patient insurance and account information accurate and up to date
- Assist with other administrative and revenue cycle tasks as needed

Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in insurance verification
- Knowledge of insurance benefits, claims, billing, invoices, and revenue cycle processes
- Strong written and verbal English skills
- Clear and friendly communication
- Organized, detail-oriented, and dependable
- Strong follow-through and problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently and take initiative
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable learning and using different software and EHR systems
- Experience with medical billing, claims, or healthcare revenue cycle is a plus
- Behavioral health or mental health experience is a plus
- HIPAA/PHI experience is a plus
